According to the Foshan Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs, the Ontario Shunde Business Association of Canada and the Calgary Shunde Business Association of Canada were established one after another recently. Hu Sujuan, Vice Chairman of the District Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the ceremony. More than 200 guests attended the ceremony, including the assistant president of Bank of China Canada, representatives of Markham City Government, Markham City Councillors, Richmond Hill City Councillors, the executive chairman of the Toronto Federation of Chinese Organizations, the head of Markham Multi-Chinese Association, the president of the Calgary Shunde Business Association of Canada, the president of the Calgary Wuyi Tongxiang Association, etc. The ceremony was held at the Ontario Shunde Business Association of Canada and the Calgary Shunde Business Association of Canada in Ontario.

At the establishment ceremony, Huang Yanxia, Vice Chairman of Shunde District CPPCC, expressed her warm congratulations on the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce. She pointed out that the Shunde entrepreneurs in Toronto and Calgary, Canada, have worked hard to open up and strive to be active, and have played a positive role in economic and trade and cultural exchanges between Canada and Shunde. The establishment of the two Shunde business associations so that Shunde entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto Area and Calgary has a “mother’s home”, will be a powerful unity of the industry in Canada, for the hometown of Shunde’s development and construction of the role of the link. She also introduced Shunde’s economic achievements and investment advantages in recent years to the local business community and the news media.

The Calgary Shunde Business Association of Canada and the  Ontario Business Association fo Canada were registered in May and October this year respectively by the local government, and are composed of entrepreneurs from the local Shunde business community. After the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce, it will help more Shunde business people through the Chamber of Commerce platform, strengthen the links with Canada, make friends, increase business contacts, and then further look for investment and cooperation opportunities.

Shunde District Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce) is closely preparing for the establishment of the World Shunde Merchants Association, the Canadian Greater Toronto Shunde Chamber of Commerce and Calgary Shunde Chamber of Commerce is the fourth and fifth Shunde Chamber of Commerce to be established in foreign countries following the Canadian Emmanuel, Vancouver Shunde Chamber of Commerce and the Australian Shunde Chamber of Commerce.
